Mr. Van Steenhuyse is a Senior Vice President – Portfolio Manager in the Business Capital group at Bank of America.  Matt has over 25 years of lending experience with the past 11 years working at BABC.  Located in Pasadena, California, Matt is in charge of managing half of office’s loan portfolio and has several experienced senior client managers working on his team.  Matt formally joined BABC in 2004 as a result of Bank of America’s acquisition of Fleet Bank (Fleet Capital Corporation “FCC”).  While at FCC, Mr. Van Steenhuyse was Senior Vice President - Loan Administration Manager responsible for the Western Region’s loan portfolio.

Prior to FCC in 1998, Matt spent over 7 years at Sumitomo Bank of California.  While at Sumitomo, Matt served as Vice President – Deputy Manager in the Downtown Los Angeles office and helped start the ABL commercial banking group de novo.  In addition to being in charge of the Loan Administration team, Matt also focused on new business development.  Mr. Van Steenhuyse also spent time working in Orange County, California in the commercial banking units of Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America.

Matt graduated from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in finance.  Mr. Van Steenhuyse is a licensed stock broker holding his Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.  Matt joined the CFCC Board in 2009.
